This poll is intended for SR5 users only. Just for curiosity, I'd like to know what amp brand you use...

SWR Bass 750, and Goliath Senior 6x10. Punchy, LOUD, and full of great tone. Although I just made an online trade for a Modulus FB-5 for my Ray 5. Hope the mod has some of the same mojo!

Sm400 as a pre amp until I get a real pre amp. Probably an SWR I.O.D. into a QSC PLX 1602 into two EA VL 210 cabs. Very clean, deep, articulate and portable.
  11. I've used a Alembic F1-X, Ev Dynacord/Carvin DCM1000, Hartke 4.5XL for the past 6 years and Love it. As of late I've been retired from the Bar Band gigs and its been studio with a Bergi 112HT and a Eden VT-300A. If there is a better bass sound at moderate volume, I've yet to hear it. Guess I'll end up with an Accugroove yet.

Me too.. except i have a mackie power amp and the SWR 810. It's as good as it gets for what i want. I didn't like the SWR amps cleanliness.. ampeg grit is what i needed. I don't like ampeg's sealed enclosures, so i got a big fat sounding SWR cab.

I voted "other". I use an Australian brand called "EBONY". Walked into the shop to buy a GK 1001 and walked out with the Ebony instead. Similar sound but more bottom end.

I currently use a Eden/Nemesis NC-210P combo amp. It sounds very good for its size and price, just a tad honky in the midrange. Live and cranked though, it fills my bill for right now (has DI out to run through PA in larger venues).

The best sounding system that I have played my SR5 through was an Aguilar DB750 pushing an Agie GS112 and a GS210, very loud and great tone--top to bottom.
  19. I use a Kern IP-777 preamp, QSC-1602 power amp, Epifani T-112, and 2 Peavey 210TXF's. I also enjoy running my SR5 thru my Sansamp Bass Driver DI straight to the board, if I have suffecient monitors! I think Stingray's sound awesome thru about any amp!!! hehe!

I've had Musicman basses for over twenty years and five strings starting in '89....I've had a lot of rigs in that time.....and for some reason they always sounded like Stingrays[ Thats a good thing BTW] Its pretty hard to kill the Stingray sound!
