Stingray classic 5 sound question

Can anyone compare the sound of a stingray 5 classic to a regular stingray 4? I have the 4 and the regular SR5, which I love, but it's a different sounding bass than the 4. Lately I've been wanting the sound of the 4 but with 5 strings and I'm wondering how close the classic 5 gets to that.

IMO It sounds pretty much the same. Obviously it has a bit more mass, but for the most part it sounds like the 4. I think the Classic series basses are some of the nicest production instruments you can buy today. Build quality, wood, and sound. EB did a great job with these models!

From what you describe I believe you'd be very happy with a Classic 5.

I agree that the Classic 5 sounds much more like the SR4. I'm not a fan of the SR5 sound even though I love the SR4 sound, especially the 2-band EQ models. And I like the Classic 5 body much better than the SR5 body.
