I'm curious who everyone thinks makes the best Stingray clone? I know of quite a few companies making them and some of them seem to be getting pretty good at it but the only clone I played was junk. I know that Jay Turser, Bradley, OLP, and Dillon all make clones. OLP is officially licensed by Ernie Ball but I've heard that they don't play very well. Opinions?
I played the OLP 5 string when it first came out in UK. It played really well and I own a real one. The problem IMHO is that these things look and play like a Stingray but dont sound like them. I'd go with the licensed copy everytime if you want to sell it on at some point.
