Stingray or Sterling ?

    I'm considering a new bass and was curious, aside from body style what is the difference between these two basses ?

    The Sterling has updated electronics, smaller body, and a slightly slimmer neck than the Stingray.

  3. Although I've never tried either. (I have tried the Stingray 5) I've heard people compare the Sterling to a "4 string version or the Stingray 5". Compare them sound wise, that is.

    The Sterling has a smaller body, neck profile, 3 way toggle switch and comes stock with a 3 band EQ. I've played them both (I own a Sterling) and find little, if any, differnce between the two basses tonally, except, of course, when the Sterling's switch is used. I bought the Sterling only for the bit more of variety of tones it offers. You can't go wrong with either.
