I love the stock strings on my newly purchased vintage T-birds pro bass. I bought a set of rotosound swing 66s but I yank the first low e string off and put the stock string back on after playing just a few notes. I'd like to know what material they are made of and what manufacturer . I was told that they were d'addario's they appear to be lighter than the 45 to 105s I bought.

Jason from Bassstrings thinks they are likely Nickel plated steel rounds. I just ordered a set of ML Prosteels for my Vintage Pro to brighten it up some more.
