Stolen Guitars, Gip's Place, Bessemer, AL.

    Two of Henry “Gip” Gipson’s guitars were stolen from Gip’s Place, one of America’s last remaining juke joints, in Bessemer, AL.

    Gipson, is an American Blues musician best known for Gip’s Place, Alabama’s last juke joint. The tin-roofed garage in his backyard has hosted the likes of Keith Richards and Jimmy Page since 1952. He turned 98 this past January and is one of the south's oldest living blues legends still around. He's rubbed elbows with some of the best, Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. In 2013 the law and city of Bessemer tried to shut him down, they didn't succeed. And now this. How anyone could do this to him is beyond comprehension.

    One is a creamed color, 40th Anniversary Fender Strat
    The other is a maroon Gibson LPJ, sorry don't know the year

    If you don't know of this man, I encourage you to watch this 1 hour PBS documentary. There aren't many like him left.
