Today my van was stolen from the parking lot of the office where i work in Houston TX. My entire bass rig, one of my basses and some other gear was in the van. The following items were in the van when it was stolen. Steinberger XP2 bass guitar Serial N5115, black, in very good shape. all original except for 2 stainless aftermarket string claws. http://animegrafx.com/bass/stein/xp2.htm My bass rig Behringer Bass Vamp Pro Behringer EP1500 Power amp Furman power conditioner w/lights Grundorf 6 space rack (contained the above) http://animegrafx.com/temp/myrig.jpg Bass cabs - Ernie Ball Audiophile HD210 cab Ernie Ball Audiophile HD212 cab 2 Carvin loudspeakers (12" + horn) these are an older model that have XLR inputs on the back Akai UniBass effects pedal (in tool box) Black and Decker tool box with approx $250 of cables and misc 12 space nylon mic bag with all my mics (SM58, SM57, Senny E835, Superlux ECO88, Behringer ECM8000, Sennheiser ME3 headset 2 Sennheiser Digital 1000 wireless units. It does not appear that the van was stolen for the gear in it since an abandoned car that was still running was found parked next to where my van had been parked. The steering colume was busted out in the car. So it looks like they just pulled in and stole the first easy vehicle they could, and as my luck would have it, my gear was in it at the time. So, if any Houston area talkbassers come across what they think might be my gear, please feel free to email me at [email protected]
just got back with the van, totally empty, they took everything they could, all my gear, my umbrella, the jack! all of it.. had all the gear added to the police report, gotta my my insurance co tomorrow to see if theres anything they can do... damn
What part of Houston was your van found and where was it parked when it was stolen? You might check out pawn shops in those areas. If you have homeowners insurance you might be at least able to get some money for some new gear. What a nightmare. I hate having to leave gear in my van. Sorry man.
I feel for you. That sucks a big one. I'm definitely not going to leave my gear in my vehicle anymore! I hope you find your stuff!
I doubt the guy would happen to have a copy of the manuals at home. Unless they were with the bass. Anyway, that really bites...
