I think it's a catch all. I don't think it's *technically* illegal to forcibly give someone a tattoo, and it's kinda hard to file it under assault, and torture is kinda iffy too (especially if the victim has other tatts and/or peircings). So, yeah, "mayhem."

Me? I wanna get charged with bedlam.

Dare I hope: ataxia? Going to have to do some heinous stuff to get charged with that one.

  10. A friend of mine got fined for taking his pants off in a McDonald´s (dont ask!). On the ticket it read: "Charge: Holding genitals on the open in a menacing way". Or something... it doesn´t sound as funny in English.

Oh, it's plenty funny in English. Made me laugh out loud, and I almost never do that.

  15. I wonder if they did it in old english.

The article should be more specific regarding the forms of torture.

Actually it would be very much illegal (at least from what little I remember about criminal law). A whole number of charges could be brought (eg intentionally causing grevious bodily harm etc) - the only reason piercing and tatoo artists (as well as doctors) are not charged with battery / assualt is because of the persons consent (or medical necessity).

You'd be surprised how many charges could be validly made out of grabing someone, taping them down and tatooing their forehead! :D
