Stoner/Doom Bassists 84: Name That Amp!

Hey Fellers. This is my band Lone Star Demons, we are a stoner rock-ish 3 piece from Austin, TX in the vein of Black Sabbath, Mastadon, Helios Creed, High on Fire, etc etc.

Thanks Brother! Deviated septum on one side, polyps on the other, and removing my turbinates. Had a deviated septum surgery in my early 20's but they guy didn't do a good job. Only migraine trigger I have found is changes in the barometric pressure before and after storms, and since my sinuses are always stuffed up the ENT thinks the pressure is causing the migraines, which I have thought all along, so fingers crossed I am back among the living in a month or two.

Good luck, dude. Hopefully getting scraped out will do the trick for you.

Nah, my problems are mostly from fist fights as a kid, slam dancing, and in the Army I took a nasty hit to my nose when were double-timing it in the back of a 5 ton, I was not paying attention and took a combat boot from an ape of a man who was trying to leap over the tailgate and swung out his foot too far back, ouch. It's that back part of your nostril, it get's closed up and blocks your breathing is all.

My nose has successfully avoided trauma for 23 years.

Good luck with the roto rootering. If your insurance is charging too much, I'm pretty mediocre with a drimmel so I could do the procedure.

I see you are in Denton. Would love to play Andy's or Rubber Gloves again, also need some good contacts for those.

Yea I'm a senior up at UNT, back in Austin for routine dentist and eye doctor stuff. I'd catch your show, but it's my last night here and need to fix my old tv and desktop while My dad's not busy.

If you find yourself in denton though feel free to say so, also there's another Austin guy and a Houston man here as well.

Starting work on the EP tonight. We're going to mic up the drums and record those live then go in and overdub everything else. Shouldn't be too much bleed. I'm hoping we get two (three?) drum tracks tonight. We try not to over-think stuff, but you know how it ends up! The end goal is to do a six track EP; we'll probably do nine or so songs and pick the best to put on there.

I've had my nose broken I think at least four times. I think my septum is a bit deviated but it doesn't bother me much. Took the bottom of a face mask across the bridge of my nose in football, got a serious elbow in basketball, and I think I suffered two pretty bad ones in the 100+ fist fights I was in while bouncing in college lol.

I broke my nose over 10 years ago in highschool wrestling, about 1 minute into a match. My dad packed it full of tampons to stop the bleeding, and I went out there took my penalty point, and decked the other guy. Then I proceeded to beat his ass and win.

After my dad pulled out all the junk in my nose and reset it with a pencil. Doesnt look crooked and my septum is fine for breathing now. Helps to have an otolaryngologist (ENT) as a dad.
