Good news for everyone who's been waiting for an STP reunion: Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots will be performing together on the same stage on August 18, 2006 for a taping of VH1 Decades Rock honoring Scott Weiland! The event will take place at Atlantic City, New Jersey’s Trump Taj Mahal. See the link below:

  4. I'd love that if they could get back to what they were like in Core...

Weiland seems to have faceplanted since those days and still hasnt managed to say: "I've fallen and cant get up..."

    burned out , unfortunately...

I really loved the direction STP were going in before they split.

I like Vevet Revolver actually, never cared much for Guns N Roses. I like STP, but Velvet Revolver seemed to click.
I may be the only Rocker w/ a large CD collection that doesn't own any Guns N Roses. I do own a lot of STP.

I have nominal recording selection and always thought G & R were 'poor man's' Aerosmith. But dig STP.

Then this thread is a hoax.

  15. Not so surprising, and besides- most of the STP I've heard just rips off everything that was simultaneously going on musically in Seattle. :eyebrow:
