    For sale only STR LS549 near-mint condition.
    Often referred to as the Fodera of Japan, impeccable build, super flexible Aguilar pre and action as low as you could want.
    Frets are clean with little wear
    34" scale, 19 mm string spacing at the bridge and 1 7/8" nut.
    Enhanced grain flamed ash
    3 piece maple neck and ebony board
    STR JJ single coils
    Aguilar OBP-3 preamp bass, mid, treble with mid-frequency switch, active-passive switch and vintage tone control
    Hipshot strap pins (can include strap locks)
    Currently strung with D'Addario Chromes and could swap to new DR low riders, Rotosound swing bass or D'Addario EXL170's
    STR gig bag
    Weight 8 lbs 11 oz

    I've owned these basses and they are as good as anything you will find in Quality and Playability. This will blow any Fender Jazz bass out of the water.

    I own an STR LS 549 as well. It sports a 3 digit serial number that is very close to the one shown here which suggests that just like mine, this is an early model. I have bought and sold many, many basses over the last 30 years. Many were bought after I bought my STR. It is an incredible instrument and it is not going anywhere. Three notes with your eyes closed and you know your hands came in contact with a high end, hand made instrument. They exude refinement in how they feel and the sound is just as phenomenal. This one in particular is gorgeous. The grain and finish are exotic but understated enough to fit in any musical genre. Don’t hesitate. You will not regret it.
