Strange winding

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Ryan Berry, Aug 17, 2002.

  1. Why would somebody wind the strings like this? Is there some sort of advantage to doing this?

The only advantage I can think of is that all the pegs are twisted in the same direction for tightening and loosening the strings.

Weird, because it's the reverse of any standard tuner. Maybe this person's conditioned to Fender's old "reverse" tuners.

Or just lazy. I don't know.
