    strap button installation concern

Hi Everyone. I replaced the screw for the strap button of my guitar which is installed on the neck. It is a mahogany neck. My dilemma is that the screw is approx 1mm longer and I am wondering if I should have drilled the hole deeper to accomadate it. I am concerned if it may have cracked the wood and if so would I see it or know right away that the wood had cracked? :rollno:

1mm is a 1/16th of an inch, I really wouldnt worry about it

    Thanks for everyones reply.

So if I am correct the census is to not worry about it and leave it? I know 1mm is not much, but wood is wood. If I am correct in also thinking that mahogany is more open grain and is more flexible than say maple because it is not has hard or dense.
