strap button placement

    I'm putting schaller straplocks on my OLP MM1, it's in the shop right now, but if the hole for the strap button on the upper horn is to big for the screw, which would be a better alternate place to put the button: on the inside of the cutaway pointing down toward the neck, or on the back of the horn about an inch away from the tip? if thats confusing let me know, ill draw pictures.
     
  2. You can use the same hole even if the original one is too big. Just get some toothpicks (broken to roughly the length of the hole) and glue and jam them into the existing hole. Then just insert the new screw and it should hold like it was meant to be.

    you can also buy a longer screw at a hardware store, thats what i do.
