    Hello all,
I'm wondering if anyone has ever run into this before and how you fixed it?

The strap lock on my bass (the one on the horn) has seized up and will not come off.

I've attempted pulling it off, seeing if turning it will help loosen it etc but no luck. The way that it is attached I cannot even unscrew it from the body.

I obviously do not want to damage the bass or the post and then make it useless or end up with a bigger repair.

This is a warwick lock where you push the pin in to release the lock.

    Any suggestions?

  2. give it a spay with WD-40 give it some time, and then try to remove it.
  3. Good advice. It sounds like the Dunlop type? Sometimes those tiny locking balls can get stuck if it gets dirty or dry or corroded.
Good idea to periodically WD those to keep them working smoothly..
