Strap on PC and Ron Carters basses ,

    I was enjoying some clips on youtube and noticed these straps on Paul Chambers and Ron Carters basses , you may have seen the old black+white Miles clips of So What and All blues .
    The straps go around the basses waist above the bridge ,and I have not heard or read anything about these straps , Id be very interested to hear if anyone remembers or knows about them .

    Thanks for clearing that up , I was thinking it was some kind of top choker or soundpost safety strap .

    I have the identical Ron Carter bib. David Gage's wife makes em and they sell them. Doesn't make me play any more like RC but I can still dream.
