i am experiencing string buzz on the e and a strings from the first to third frets of my mtd fretless. It sounds like when i finger an "f" that the string is rattling against the fingerboard; is the fix as simple as adjusting the height of the saddles ?

There's probably a touch of backbow on the neck.

If not, then it could be string wear or the nut could have worn down a bit. Raising the saddle might alleviate either of these. But I'm betting on a touch of backbow.
