String gauge for alternate tuning.

    So I have a Suhr J that plays fantastic in standard, it has 45 to 105's on. When I go to Eb with a drop C# it’s to rattly. What would be a good gauge for that tuning where I wouldn’t have to do any neck adjustment?

    I have 1 bass that I keep in drop D - .120 .085 .070 .050
    The .120 D has the same tension as the .105 E I use on my other basses, so they all essentially feel the same.

    Thanks man. I just ordered a set of medium rotosounds. 50 - 110. I will check them out and see about getting a single 120. Do you know where to get single bass strings?

    Got a set of roto 40 - 110s and put them on the bass and set it up for Eb drop C#. Worked out great. Thanks for the helps.

  8. I tune .110's to both C and C#

    sounds great.
