    hi
i recently purchased a new hway 1 jazz. its only a week or so old and after my last jam i am noticing a bit of a 'hum' coming from the g string. its almost like a slight rattle after i play an open g. wondering if anyone has come across this before and if it could just be that i need to replace the dodgy (or so i have heard) stock fender strings. have ruled out the noise coming from the bridge itself or tuning knobs or anything like that. it is def string related.
    cheers

  2. Was it setup before when you purchased it? I see you are in the 'Gong and the best man for setups round those parts is Phil Haworth. He'll sort it out for you real quick.
