My teacher just loaned me a set of brand new strings in Corelli envelopes, but nobody actually recognizes them.

They have gold with a black spiral on one end. In the peg box the G has yellow and the D has purple.

The bottom two strings are Bel Canti, to give you a sense of color.

Thanks. For anyone curious they're "Corelli Rope Core-Nickel Bass D Extra Forte"

  4. No, they're the F gauge, not the TX.
The TX have black silk with a red ring near the metal part of the string.
And they're not nickel, they're tungsten, by the way.
