String mutes? Where can i get some?

    Try Scunci Engineering..

    Actually they're more a dampening system than a mute but..

    They make models that fit any bass.. any number of strings.. any neck size!!!

    You can put a piece of foam under the strings at the bridge-quite effective for an old-school thump sound.

    That's what I do.
    BTW, Bob Babbit, the other bassist in Motown used a sponge from the bathroom of the studio to create a mute for Standing in the Shadows Of Motown.
