    Hy

I am playing a Ibanez sr1205 premium bass wich i absolutely love. The thing is, my D and G string have this treble, clinkie, stringsound to them. I don't know what strings are on there atm.

I am looking for a set of five strings that sound warm, not only the lows but also the thinner strings.

I have pbass that sounds warm all the time, even with my treble fullie dialed in playing the high strings. Any tips on gettings that sound?

If you still have the stock strings on, there's a high probability that they are Elixir nickel plated steel.

If you like the sound you're getting from the strings on your P bass, why not consider trying those on your SR? For what it's worth, I have a Ibby SR too and am using GHS Pressurewounds. They have a little zing until they break in, but once they do, they are fantastic and well-balanced tonally.
