String spacing edge to edge

    Spacing the strings by measureing edge to edge has a nice consistant feel. but since the nut wasn't cut that way does it pose a problem?:confused:

    Why should it?
    String width is more important for the plucking hand than for the fretting hand IMO. The farther you go up the neck the more string width is determined by the bridge and not the saddle. So theoretically there's a (minor) problem in the lower register only.

    Since you adjust intonation for each string there's also no problem regarding that.
