strings in the $20 range

ERNIE BALL SLINKEY (REGULAR)!... well they are like $16-$20 depends on when and where you get them, but good enough

 

I use a GHS Bassics set that is probably 20 dollors or so if you are able to find them, they aren't terribly popular so I usually have to special order them. They last me anywhere from 6 months to several years, depending on the bass.

 

I paid around $19 for my D'Addario Slowounds (www.sheetmusicplus.com). Even, warm and consistent tone, not too bright, good feel. I like them. Why don't you try a set?

You ever hear of no fames? about $17 Canadian. I don't like em' at all but I guess some people do.

 

I pay 20$ for my Pyramid Pyrasound strings, but I heard they're much more expensive in the U.S.
