Any ideas for a quick fix for a stripped pot shaft. It is a preamp duo pot that the manufacture is out of stock until mid-october

  5. Never tried this but perhaps some teflon tape (used for sealing threads in plumbing fixtures) wrapped around the pot shaft might give the nut enough grip to fix it temporarily.

Do you mean stripped in terms it doesn't work or the nut over the threads holding into the bass? If it's the threads I have had it happen a bunch of times and I found a way to fix and it works great. I take a small piece of copper shielding tape I bought from Stew Mac maybe 1/8" by 1/4" and sort of wrap it around the threads and squeeze it good so it goes into the threads and then put the nut back on. It works every time.
  7. Is it a special pot, or can you just order a replacement anywhere on the internet?

shielding tape worked like a charm.
