Stu Hamm Urge Standard (MIM)

    I’ve been trying to determine when my Stu Hamm Urge Standard (MIM) was manufactured.
    The first three letters are MSN followed by 5 digits.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I suspect you’re on the wrong side of the house, unless Stu Hamm had a line of double basses.

    I contacted Fender and received a response. My Stu Hamm Urge Standard was made in January 27, 1999. They even typed out the info from the original spec sheet.

    Yours was made in the last year of manufacture for these MIM Urge basses (1999)
    INTRODUCED: 1994
    DISCONTINUED: 7/1999

    Great basses, mine is one of the earliest ones (1994) but has been modified with a Badass II bridge, EMG pickups with VVT knobs, I bought it that way so i don't know how they originally sounded like but I'm happy with the one I have.
