Someone just gave me a carver TFM-55x power amp and I was wondering if it would be wise to pair it with my behringer bx3000t-just use the bx for the sound and the carver for the power. I know supposedly the bx is a 300w head but sometimes it just doesn't seem loud enough at bigger venues.
    Am I wasting my time?

  2. MY question is: is the Carver rated for professional service? If it isn't you could end up blowing it.

What exactly do you mean by professional service?

I believe BassmanPaul was suggesting that if your Carver TFM-55x power amp was designed for home stereo, it might not be suited to the demands of professional use.

If you're willing to join a Carver discussion group, you might be able to download a Carver TFM-55x Power Amp Owner's Manual here.

That's ok, I would exacly recommend Behringer for professional use either.
