I'm at the point building my bass where it is all shaped and I just need to get rid of the lines the file has left on the body. I've tried all different grits of sand paper and I've tried using a card scraper. No matter what I do, either it doesn't get rid of the scratches or it leaves more behind. I need to know what to do so I don't go insane from waiting for two years for my bass to be finished. :crying:

    Progressively finer grit sand paper.

  3. Always sand in the direction of the grain.
