Having had my Warwick SSII for about a month i have sold it in favour of a car. Problem is, im now five stringless and my MIM jazz bass aint cutting it downtuned. So, i am on the verge of an Ibanez BTB 405. So, fellow bassists, i want to know some things. a) Is it worth buying a BTB 515 seeing as it costs quite a bit more. b) Should i buy a dual pickup Streamer Standard and whack some new actives on it. c) Can you suggest another bass under about $1250 or £800? That would be worthwhile investigating. Thank you muchos for your time.
By any means dont get the Streamer Standard. I can suggest you go for a Corvette ProLine 5 String or a Streamer LX 5 with some luck.
I also wouldn't go with the Streamer Standard. BTB's are great basses for the money. You could also try to find a used Peavey Cirrus 5. Or there is always Carvin, but you probably don't want to wait. There are lots of choices for that amount of money.
well first off, i also would have kept the streamer stage II, man i dunno how you could get rid of it. lets see, i'm against the BTB, but i just don't really like ibanez. i'm against the streamer standard, i've heard the corvette standard is a lot better choice, or a proline, and i've played and enjoyed the corvette fna very much. also definately no disagreement against the spector euro series. then there is going used, in which case you could possibly find yourself a zon, which'd be nice, or a modulus fiver. thats about the extent of what i can recommend, but i dunno what you all have available over there in good ol merry england. i know i just am very grateful that though besides the fact that i live in suburbia(and surrounded by farms as well) there is one good shop around here(but still no modulus or zons ) anyway good luck.
