Suggestions for a newbie

    Hey All
    Looking for an inexpensive bass that plays and sounds decent for recording only. I've been guitar playing for 30-some years, but know nothing about basses. I ave a little studio down in the basement that I record original stuff on. I play primarily acoustic stuff...think James Taylor, CSN&Y, Beatles, etc....
    Any suggestions? I just saw a Fender MIM on the forum in my price range...would this fit the bill.

    A Fender MIM Precision bass would fit the bill. Quiet electronics, and a tone that fits well with any type of music.
