suggestions for running direct, odd band set-up

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by biff malibu, May 14, 2006.

  1. i want to run direct (no bass cabs on stage) live. running live we have a live kit, me playing bass, vocals, and key/synth/string/piano sounds running to the board from a harddisk player.

    i thought, rbi ---pa w/iem's
    rbi---pa no iems
smaller DI like the bddi, etc. etc.

all places we play have good pa and monitors, but, if i dont have iem's i could see a problem with having a monitor mix against a live kti onstage (no bass cabs)

good prices for pro stuff (not cheap crap), simplest, smallest, is best. i would love to just take my bass and my rack. style is clash meets kylie minogue (only best way i could describe it) garage rock-modern dance. i play an active jazz bass.

    you can hear at www.myspace.com/theoutpatientsdallas
listen to "right way" (best example)

    thanx a million guys.

Turbonegro is a gret Norwegian rock-band, and the singer calls himself..Biff Malibu

You can always go the simple way and just get a real good DI, like the Radial JDI

  5. wow man, thanks a lot. that looks like a great recommendation.
