  1. Hey !!

I was originally planning a custom bass with a Graphite neck but Now having played Modulus and some other grephite neck'd bass ( Moses ?? ) , I've come to the conclusion that nothing sounds and feels like wood .
SO I went to the Warmoth website and did some research on woods and this is what I think could well be my dream bass .

    These are the specs :

    NECK :

    Style: Deluxe 5 . 4+1 Headstock .
    Neck Wood: Padouk
    Fingerboard Wood: Wenge
    Orientation: Right Handed
    Nut Width: 1 3/4"
    Back Shape: Asymmetric
    Fret Size: SS6105 (Stainless)
    Tuner Ream: BML Lite (17mm)
    Inlays: No Inlay,Side Dots Only
Pre-Cut Installed String Nut: GraphTech Black TUSQ XL
    Radius: Straight 10"
    Scale: 34 in.
    Fret #: 22
    Mounting Holes: Standard 4 Bolt

    BODY :

    Model: G5 Bass
    Orientation: Right handed
    Wood: Walnut on Swamp Ash
    Rout: Rear Rout
    Controls: V-V-T-X-X-X
    Bridge: Hipshot A - String-Thru Body
    Top Finish: Clear Satin
    Back Finish: Clear Satin
Jack Rout: 7/8" (22.23mm) Side Jack Hole
    Binding: White Pinstriping
    Neck Pocket: Standard Bass Pocket
    Mounting Holes: Standard 4 Bolt
Countours: Contoured Heel / Tummy Cut / Forearm Countour
    Battery Box: Double Battery Box

What do u luthiers think of this ? Is this a good combination of woods or do u think its all too much rubbish rolled into one bass ?

I plan to install the Seymour Duncan Passive phase 2 NYC soapbars on this bass and also hope to put a Mike Pope on board preamp in this .

What do u think of this ??

I dont plan to do it immedietly , I'll have to wait at least a month more since I'm extremely busy now .

    Cheers !! :bassist:
