I've been using DRs for a while now and am looking for something different. I'm playing in a cover band so I need something pretty versitile for like funk, heavy rock, ska, punk. I have an Ibanez SR505 5 string so I need it to have a clear low B. Any suggestions?? Also, it's going through a Hartke 3500 into an SWR 2 10" cab and a Trace Elliot 15" cab, thanks!

You could try the Dean Markely SR2000 strings.
They are very bright and the heavier sets have good deep lows. I use the Will Lee set.

The DRs are good strings too. Again the heavier sets give the best lows.

DR's also good for fretless ?
  5. Try the D'addario Slowounds. Good fat sound that really sings.

...oh, and the B is clear since it's tapered.

Has anyone tried the DR Lowriders? I may try those out.
