suggestions please

    hey,
    Im trying to find pickups with strong mids. Im planning for the first time to building my own bass using flamed maple facings and walnut core. I have looked at bartolini and havnt really found anything. Also i need to find a nice preamp for my bass. Any suggestions would be great.
