Was hoping someone could help as I don't really understand the compatability of Speakers to amps.

I'm thinking about buying an Ashdown MAG 300 Head with 307 watts rms and minimum of 4ohms to go through a Hartke VX410 Cab with 400watts @ 8ohms.

Could someone please give me an idea if this combination will be any good?

    Cheers

well not really because at 8 ohms that head is only going to put out around 160 watts which is no where near enough for 4x10's. id suggest a 4 ohm cab.

I really liked using SWR cabs with my Ashdown.
