    hey everyone

i've been reading about different types of stirngs here on TB and it seems lie DR Sunbeams are just what i want. I play a MIM Jazz Fretless and i want to know if anyone has tried sunbeams on a fretless. i now they are round core so will they chew up my fingerboard or cause any damage to it? thanks for any info.

I've been using them on fretless for a while now with no problems but I don't have wear issues with roundwounds anyway. Keep your action low, your touch light and your vibrato parallel to the string and it shouldn't be an issue.

i used sunbeams on my music man fretless and liked them a lot. i prefer the hibeams on my thumb though - on ebony wear is not much of an issue so the SS strings are ok.

I have Sunbeams on my knockaround Yamaha fretless. I like them and haven't noticed any fretboard damage.

I've just put some sunbeams on my 55-02 fretless this week and love the feel. Very smooth :bassist:
