Anyone herd much or own one of these? Wanna get a few opiniions befor i shell out the cash for one.

Or any suggestions for something with enough power to go threw a 8x10" cab w/ a extra 15 inch on it and still have room to grow on?

are you talking about the sunn 1200s amp head?

if so, i had one and that thing was a monster. i dont know what the lowest impedence is, but i do knwo it has 4 speaker outs in teh back of the amp. and it has tons of head room to it. you should be able to run an 8x10 and a 1x15 just fine.

Thats the one im talkin about.

would it be a total overkill for a 8 x 10 cab just by itself?

The Sunn 1200S is rated at 1200 watts into a 2 ohm load.

  5. Never had a sunn amp, but as to if the 1200 is too much for a 810. No. I run a mackie 1400i bridged into a 4ohm 810..all of it. So if the Sunn puts out 1200 @ 2ohms, you're looking around 600-800 into a 4ohm 810.

    hope this helps

    very much.

I really dont mess with amps that much, all the gigs i play are fully PAed, so i just bring my ghetto little combo amp, sounds fine.

But i think its time to finaly upgrade to a real rig : )
