SUNN/FENDER Bassman 1200

    Hello,

    I have the opportunity to get a Fender Bassman 1200 (Sunn 1200 with overheating fix) for very little money, so I can replace my SVT7 pro.

    Anyone owns the 1200 ?

    I had one once .... very good at what it does ... I currently have the 800 pro which is the successor to that amp, I found that running a NOS JAN 5751 tube in V1 and a new Tung-Sol in V2 gave me the sound I liked ... never got much over 2-3 on the mater volume, use the input gain for overall adjustment .... never really used the compressor very much .... make sure you have a cabinet that can handle the output, if your going to push it hard ... the ratings are 500 watts RMS @ 8 ohms, 800 Watts @ 4 ohms and 1200 watts RMS @ 2 ohms .. ran mine regularly through a Berg NV425

    Oh great rig :)
    I'd run it through my 2x15 Chillbass which is 600w @ 8ohms (awesome cab btw).

    Do you often use 2nd channel (od) ?

    if u can get it cheap do it i see them priced 500 to 600
