super bright crisp trebaly, jazz bass pickups

  1. does anyone know of any realy chrisp bright jazz pickups, which would be good replacements? and also not TOO expensive

    try to find a set of fender lace sensors

    strat and jazz, and if you look hard enough you can find precision. I'm not real familiar with the strats, but for bass they were only loaded in deluxe and plus models btwn 90 - 94

    just found 1 set used on the big E, what is this going in btw?
     
  7. my old cruiser by crafter, rubbish pickups was very cheap but has an incredably fast neck. cruiser by crafter csr-20.

    Fralins are very bright.
     
  9. guys guys come on.. of course they brightest are seymour duncan quarter pounder for jazz bass

    Actually, if you really want maximum brightness: EMG-J.

    I have a 61 jazz that has been wearing EMGs since the 80's. The bass sounds great in the mix. They are harsh soloed and someday I may put some passive single coils in that bass but the TI flats and the EMGs in that baby really work.

    I agree with Pickles on the Fralins. I found the couple sets I tried to be really crisp and bright, too much for my tastes actually...
