I recently bought this but have lost interest in it. I don't know what wood the body is made from, I think the neck is maple. It sounds ok for a 35.00 bass but has a couple of high frets. The body came with an indention and creased paint on the upper horn (top edge.) The bridge plate was really crooked and I straightened it. If you look closely you can tell where it used to lie. The neck is really chunky!!! 1 5/8'' width at the nut. The width at the heel is much wider than Fender spec. I didn't measure but a Might Mite neck is much to small to work in that pocket. 35.00 plus shipping in the original triangle box and materials. It's a rainy day, so I got it out and spent the morning with it. It's not a Lull, but it intonates well and I got rid of the buzzes while being able to set it to Fender spec. Probably worth 40.00 now! I can leave this one out to practice with!
