Did anybody catch who was playing upright bass with Aaron Neville and Aretha Franklin during the playing of the Star Spangeled Banner?

It looked like Willie Weeks but I'm not sure. He was also playing a 5 string upright.

BTW, I thought Ree-Ree smoked Aaron during their duet.
  2. How about the "bass player" for the Rolling Stones? The cameras didn't do a very good job (or did) of putting him on camera until the bow at the end of the set, of course then he was standing with the other band members.
I know, I know, this is an electric bass issue, but Darryl Jones is the highest paid sideman in the world.

  3. I thought that the key was murder for both of them. He went from low register to high on the next verse looking for comfort. Ree-Ree (as you put it) may have been more comfortable with maybe a third to spare.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Willie Weeks playing the Kolstein Travel Bass. Steve Jordan on drums.

It was. Kolstein sent an email out about it.
