SuperSteps is there a similar string?

    Help! Problem With Labella supersteps strings
    I just bought a set of labella supersteps (taper core)29-43-62-85-102-128 for my yamaha trb6II and I love the feel and sound but past the 12th fret
    they have wierd overtones coming off of them sorta like and out of tune chorus or flange. Is there any fixes and what is the reasoning behind this?

    Mabye I should try the hard rockin' steels do these have a similar

    Could be your pickups are set too high, try lowering them a little.

    If you've just changed from a normal core string to tapered core, the strings are now sitting with a lower action and also closer to the pickups and the magnetic poles of the pickups will be affecting the string vibrations.
