    hiya hiya,

    recently became a supporting member.

i fretted (!) over my avatar for a while...finally chose one that i be happy wit'!

so......what's the deal with everyone's avatar? why did you choose it? what does it mean?

mine is from a 70's underground comix book by a dead guy named Vaughn Bode. The strip was called CHEECH WIZARD...funny stuff.

Cheech is the on with the magician's hat, the other cat is a lizard.

I've admired your Cheech - Bode was a great in the history of comix (not comics, there IS a diff). He used to draw the hottest little nymphs.

My avatar is a likeness of myself made over at, a site that has a little java applet that allows you to make avatars by selecting parts from lists - you start with a skeleton. I had to do some post-work on it to really make it my own (they don't have, f'rinstance, backwards baseball caps or Rickebackers), but for a cartoony avatar, it pretty much looks just like me. Here's the whole graphic, since I could only get a headshot into the space TB allows:

    <img src= height=124 width=77>

and yes, that IS a KISS shirt.

    well mine is boring.
I was on a web site where they have smiley and all those things and I saw that. I thought it would be cool to have it as an avatar.
My first choice was a bass clef that Xavier helped me with. I was going to send the bass clef to Paul when I saw the turtle.
  4. I *love* Cheech Wizard!!!! I would have probably ended up with him had I been able to find him. Instead I ended up wtih Bill, who's the next best thing.

I'm rather fond of Celtic knotwork, and this one fits...

I copied mine from some other newsgroup. I thouhgt it looked enough like a wheel to be congruous with my name and still different enough to be memorable. One thing's for sure: everyone has an opinion regarding it and they'll tell me too.

I used a gig photo of myself and got really tired of seeing my ugly mug every time I posted. I just found a cool Jpeg on some lable-maker software. Makes it appear that I have proper right hand technique on DB :D

  13. mine is, well, a picture of me, taken in my former girlfriend's room. on the left is a nice wall hanging, on the right is a door with some sticky notes on it. i tend to do the raised eyebrow thing when someone aims a camera at me.

Nino, I get a laugh out of DHC's location every time that I see it too.

I think having the location in the Forum is really cool, one less thing to have to check the profile for.

I went the completely unimaginative route and just settled for a pic of me playing my bass. I'm actually taller in person, though...

There is nothing, I repeat nothing as cool as a dead guy writing comix ;)

Mine is the backside of my favorite bass. I still can't believe Joe didn't use this wood for tops on three other basses instead of using it all on mine.

The little guy to the right is my security force...

    Don't start none, won't be none!:D

i just realised that the back of your legacy isn't black!

the mind is a funny thing.

how often did joe use nice caps on the back?

ok, mr smarty pants...let me rephrase:

mine is from a 70's underground comix book called CHEECH WIZARD. the author was Vaughn Bode, who later killed himself in a sexual asphixiation accident.
