I spend far too much time online perusing the many gear sites.... I do this on my phone when I should be going to sleep. It's crazy the things I've downloaded or placed in my shopping cart when I drift off and my thumb comes to rest on the screen. I woke up this morning and lo-and-behold I somehow managed to nearly buy a nice Noel Redding Sig. Jazz on Reverb. It's a good thing there's a few steps to committing to a purchase or I'd have some 'splainin' to do. I did give it a second look before pulling the plug on it though. Anyone else guilty of this?
Not sleepy, but really intoxicated. Bought the most expensive instrument I've ever owned while 9 beers deep (6% ABV). In retrospect I should have bought the one I tried at the dealer's earlier in the day! (I could have traded, which would have been a good idea.)
Come to think of it KBD, I can recall a few purchases, among other decisions, that were fueled by alcohol. I'm surprised music stores don't have a bar on site. That should have a positive impact on sales once you figure in losses due to damaged gear. A strict "you break it, you bought it" policy would be a must.
Yep. I've often bought cds, books and t-shirts...not yet gone as far as an actual bass, but have definitely added them to a shopping cart. Love the avatar, by the way!
The only instrument I purchased while drinking was an Ashbory, so the financial damage wasn't too bad. That was the extent of my credit card available balance.
