Does anyone have any info on what kinda bass he used? I found this grainy pic on wikipedia, but I can't really tell what it is. What I can see of it, it looks nice. I'm a sucker for hollowbody basses.

According to the book BEATLES GEAR by Andy Babiuk, Stu Sutcliffe played a Hofner 333 bass, "sometimes incorrectly labeled a President bass, a model name which did not appear until later." (pg. 30)

Sutcliffe purchased his bass in January 1960, so his was definitely a late 50s model.

    Cool bass!
