Why are you selling the MMC pickup? Can you tell me what you find the tonal differences are between the stock MM pickup and the Bartolini?

    Wats the ampeg logo from.
  5. The Bartolini pickup is a little fuller and smoother sounding than the stock Stingray pickup. The main reason I bought it was that the Stingray that I used to own had pole pieces on the stock pickup that stuck out way too far so that I was always hitting them with my fingers so I went with the Bartolini which doesn't have any pole pieces sticking out and also sounds a bit nicer than the stock pickup. The only reason I don't own the bass anymore is that it was way too heavy and the pickup was only in the bass for a very short time.
  6. The Ampeg logo was a clear lucite logo for a Portaflex (B-15,B-18) amp.
