i found an alright deal on an svp pro. it's about 3 years old. not the original owner, but in good condition. i could probably afford a new one though too. which should i get? are there differences between the two other than the cosmetic differences? let me know. thanks.

  2. I answered this in the other forum, but I got mine used and have been happy with it. I think the only difference between new and old is cosmetic.

I've bought mine used also & it hasn't given me a problem yet.

If it's cheap enough, get it used.

but would the three year old one have a 12au7 in the number four spot like the new ones do? this makes it run alittle quieter right?

  5. Yes - a three-year old one has a 12au7 in socket #4.
