SVP-PRO vibration???

Here's a question I should know to answer to but really don't. I have an Ampeg SVP-PRO preamp that I dearly love. I noticed that there is a slight vibration in the rack case when it's on. Is this an issue with the basic action of the tubes as opposed to splid state? It may have had this all along, I just haven't noticed it before. There is no audible buzzing, etc. Its as quiet as a mouse. Thanks,

The preamp itself shouldn't vibrate at all, regardless of it having a tube or not. Are you sure it's not from the cab? Does it vibrate with ONLY the preamp on? I have a feeling the vibrations are coming from somewhere else. They almost always come from the cab, not the pre or power amp.

Hmm... Something just occurred to me.

OP, does this silent buzzing that you've described feel like electricity?

If so, you may want to swing by a local hardware store and get a Receptacle tester.
  5. Mine has a weird vibration to it as well, but only for the first few seconds after I power it up. Not sure what it is, but it's been working just fine for a good number of years so it can't be anything too serious.
