That was the first time this has happened to me.
I've watched it happen to guitar players, but never me.
I hooked the Ampeg up for a show tonight and halfway through the first song it stopped producing sound.
I checked all my cables, tried 2 different basses and 2 different cabs.
Any idea whats going on? I get signal but no sound at all.

    I:crying:

Overheating, overworking, tube died, wire came loose, etc. It could be any number of things. Have it checked out by a tech ASAP.

Major Ampeg failure lately! Several posts of unhappy customers. What's happening?

I haven't had a chance to open it up yet, its been pouring here all day so we left everything in the van till it lets up.

I am using 2 4x10s. SWR and Madison.

Its in the same rack my last amp was in and I never had an overheating issue.

I did notice it was clipping a bit before it cut, which I though was kinda odd cause I've never clipped at that low of a volume.

I plugged into the PA after doing all the trouble shooting I could while I was there. The sound was so terrible I turned down my volume so low I might as well have no been playing at all.

I ran to my guitar players house in between sets and grabbed another head to finish out the 2nd set.
