    Hello

I recently purchased a Ampeg SVT-II. It sounds awesome :p I'm just not sure from what year the amp is.

Can somebody tell me when it was made (year)?

Get in touch with ampeg. That was made during the SLM years and by the serial number they could probably tell you.

Im sure the "F" in the serial number means that its from 1993

    Nice amp! I love mine!

So it's from 1993, okay. Thanks.

    Do you mean that - A='88, B='89, C='90, D='91, E='92, F='93 ?

Were all the SVT-IIs made during the SLM years? I have one as well, but the cosmetics are different--the letters on the Ampeg logo are outlined instead of filled in, and the letters of SVT-II are solid instead of just outlines. Also, the markings for the midrange frequency selector are just dots rather than bars. It looks like an older design to me. There is no serial number on it--the white space on the back is just blank.

Yeah, that must be correct. Thanks!

btw, wasn't '93 the very last year for manufacturing the SVT-II ?
